The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Ministry of Finance of Moldova represented by Senior Loan Officer Stella Renita and minister Dumitru Budianschi signed today an agreement for a €100 million increase to the original €150 million loan for the rehabilitation and upgrading of key national road sections. The new operation will finance the improvements to national road Hincesti – Leova – Cahul – Giurgiulesti, leading to Moldova’s only international port of Giurgiulesti on the Danube river. On 13 December 2022, the European Commission approved the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027.
